The School Board of Henry County approved the Superintendent’s recommendation to fill one administrative position at their March 7 meeting.
Dr. Ben Boone will be Director of Finance. Currently, Boone serves as Interim Director of Student Support Services. He has served the students of HCPS as a teacher, administrative intern, assistant principal, and principal. “I am grateful for the wonderful experiences I have had working with families, school leaders, and school staff members throughout Henry County. I am looking forward to collaborating with the hard-working individuals in the HCPS Finance department and working together with all stakeholders in a joint effort to continuously improve and enhance the resources available to support the meaningful educational opportunities being provided to our students.”
The appointment was approved by the School Board after reconvening from closed session.
“Dr. Boone’s experience as an educator and his administrative training make him a great asset for our finance team as they work to support the students and staff of Henry County,” said Mrs. Sandy Strayer, Superintendent.
