Viola Rich, a former participant of the Community Recovery Program, shared her story with reporter Itinease McMiller of ABC/WSET13 News this week.
Community Recovery Program is an initiative through Piedmont Community Services that is dedicated to assisting individuals who are pursuing long-term recovery by providing guidance and support in multiple areas of recovery.
The program reduces issues caused by substance abuse by:
- Providing job readiness training
- Providing referrals to the Workforce Center
- Randomized drug screens
- Assisting with locating secure housing
- Providing knowledge of relapse prevention
