MARTINSVILLE, VA – The Harvest Foundation has promised to cover the cost of tuition, textbooks, and fees for all eligible seniors who graduate from a high school in Martinsville or Henry County this year. To help these high school students understand the eligibility requirements and take the necessary steps to earn their degree for free, Patrick Henry Community College is hosting an information session on Tuesday, April 10 at 6 p.m. in the exhibit hall in PHCC’s Frith building.
During the information session, students can speak directly with SEED Fund experts, complete the Harvest SEED Fund application, meet faculty and staff from their fields of interest, network with community partners to discover community service opportunities (community service hours are a requirement for Harvest SEED Fund recipients), meet with FAFSA experts, register for courses, and more.
PHCC administrators have designed the information session to be like a one-stop shop for students – bringing community partners and campus offices together at the same event so potential SEED students can streamline the processes of submitting an application, applying for financial aid, enrolling in classes, and securing community services hours.
