Martinsville Bulletin: Kinkema files to run for Board of Supervisors

April 20, 2017

MARTINSVILLE–Brad Kinkema has been in several management roles during his life. Now he’s applying for one more. On Wednesday, Kinkema announced his plans to run for the Collinsville district seat on the Henry County Board of Supervisors.

The current seat is filled by Joe Bryant, who joined the Board of Supervisors on January 1, 2010. His current term will expire on December 31.

Kinkema said he feels he can bring new ideas to the board. When asked about his main goals, he points toward improving the partnership between the supervisors and the Henry County School Board.

“It’s critical. The county is a big part of the funding structure for the schools,” Kinkema, who has three children in the county school system, said.
